Azealia Banks has revealed that her debut album will be released in January 2014 - nearly a year-and-a-half later than originally planned.

The album, titled 'Broke With Expensive Taste', was originally scheduled for release in September 2012 but has since been delayed on several occasions. During a political rant on Twitter earlier today (September 7), the rapper revealed that the album will not now be coming out until early next year.

In July, Banks unveiled the studio version of 'ATM Jam', the latest single from the album, which features Pharrell Williams. It follows another recent single called 'Yung Rapunxel' which debuted with an intense video in April.

Banks has recently revealed that he has worked with Disclosure on a track or tracks for 'Broke With Expensive Taste'. She is expected to perform songs from the album during her one-off headline gig at London's O2 Academy Brixton on November 30.

Meanwhile, Banks became involved in a Twitter spat with Lily Allen this July, during which the rapper called Allen's children "ugly" and claimed that the singer's husband resembled a "thumb".
