Azealia Banks stormed offstage in Australia last night (October 5), after a fan threw a can at her – you can watch the incident happen below.

The rapper was performing her new single 'ATM Jam' at the Listen Out Festival in Melbourne when a fan threw the object at her. Banks immediately dropped her microphone and left the stage. Later tweeting about the incident, she wrote:

A statement was subsequently issued in which a spokesperson said that Banks and her stage crew had felt "unsafe" after the object was thrown at them, and apologised for the abrupt ending to the show. "Azealia Banks was forced to cut her set short at the Listen Out Festival in Melbourne on 5th October 2013," it said. "This was as a result of a member of the audience throwing a full can of beer at her on stage. The incident made Azealia and her stage crew feel unsafe.

"Banks would like to apologise to those fans in the audience whose experience was affected by the behaviour of one individual. Azealia went on to perform a full live set at the Listen Out Festival in Brisbane the next day (Sunday 6th October). Her performance went ahead without incident”.

Last week, Disclosure responded to Azealia Banks claiming that she dropped a collaboration they worked on from her debut album because the duo were rude.

As reported previously, the rapper said that she may leak the track in the future after being dissappointed with what Disclosure said about her in the press when she revealed they were working together. She added that she wasn't upset it wouldn't be on the LP as she had "much better stuff" on the record.

In a new interview with Triple J, brothers Guy and Howard Lawrence have said they don't care if Banks does leak the song as stated that they had already apologised to the rapper and revealed the song they worked on does not even have a chorus yet.

"I don't give a damn if she leaks it," Howard Howard told the Australian radio station. Jokingly, he said: "We're actually terrible, terrible people. Have you seen the interview where we were rude? It was so bad compared to what she said."

'Broke With Expensive Taste', was originally scheduled for release in September 2012 but has since been delayed on several occasions. Azealia Banks has recently revealed that is now due to come out next January (2014).

The rapper is expected to debut songs from the album during her one-off headline gig at London's O2 Academy Brixton on November 30.
