Babyshambles out of Iceland bash

The band’s appearance at Airwaves is off

Babyshambles’ appearance at Iceland’s Airwaves festival has been cancelled.

The band were due to take the stage event which takes place between October 12 and 23, but organisers have decided to abandon the slot.

A statement on the event’s website icelandairwaves.com says: “Due to the current situation the Iceland Airwaves festival management has decided to cancel Babyshambles' scheduled performance on the festival.”

The event will continue without Pete Doherty’s men with The Zutons, The Fiery Furnaces and Clap Your Hands Say Yeah among the bands featuring on the bill.
