Pete Doherty arrested on drugs charges

Pete Doherty was arrested yesterday (November 18) for crack cocaine possession.

Police stopped the Babyshambles singer as he was driving a Jaguar at 8.20am in London’s Bethnal Green district.

Doherty was arrested on suspicion of possession crack cocaine.

There were two other passengers in the car who were also arrested and later bailed, reports the BBC.

All three were released from Bethnal Green police station pending analysis of "substances recovered", a spokesman said.

Doherty was released on police bail until December.

The singer is due in court later this month over a previous drugs sentencing.
