Pete Doherty has been fined for five counts of possessing drugs, including crack cocaine and heroin.

The Babyshambles singer appeared at Thames Magistrates Court in London this morning (December 4).

He was ordered to pay £770 and disqualified from driving for four months, according to the BBC.

District Judge Jane McIvor told Doherty that the offences were not serious enough to require a custodial sentence.

Doherty is due to return to court in January for a review of his drug rehabilitation.
