Arrest warrant issued for Pete Doherty
Babyshambles man is due in court today
An arrest warrant has been issued for Pete Doherty today (July 3) after he was late for a court appearence.
The Babyshambles frontman was due to appear at West London Magistrates Court this morning after being charged with possessing a class A drug back in May.
However Doherty was two-and-a-half hours late for his appearance, and arrived just minutes after a warrant was issued for his arrest.
District Judge Davinder Lachhar had issued the warrant when the singer failed to show up this morning, Sky News reports.
"This is a court of law. He should have been here at 9.30 and he isn't. I am giving a warrant with no bail," she explained.
Doherty did eventually arrive, being dropped off by car.
