Pete Doherty allegedly tried to commit suicide while in his recent course of rehab.

According to his minder, Johnny ‘Headlock’ Jeannevol, the Babyshambles frontman tried to overdose on pills while in the Clouds House clinic in Wiltshire.

Claiming the singer had been upset over his break-up with model Kate Moss, the bodyguard told The News Of The World: "He saw an opportunity to take an overdose and took it. He told me he didn't know what the pills were but thought ‘fuck it' and took them all. He doesn't care what drugs do to him—in fact, he likes finding out."

However Doherty was just violently sick from taking the medicine, and has since gone on to complete his rehab, recently testing negative for drugs in his system.

Pete Doherty first rose to prominence in The Libertines, co-fronting the band with Carl Barat, before forming Babyshambles after his first band disintegrated. Babyshambles have just released their second album 'Shotter's Nation' and now due to mount a UK arena tour starting in November.
