Following the revelation that Babyshambles front-man Pete Doherty has taken heroin following rehab and has returned to drug treatment, Babyshambles drummer Adam Ficek has sent a message of thanks to fans for their support.

Babyshambles fans had been posting messages of support for Doherty and the rest of the band since the revelations on various fan website forums.

In a forum post on frenchdogblues.com Ficek wrote: “Being in a band like Babyshambles can be a rough ride at times, but ultimately it's the music and loyalty that keeps us all going. When someone falls all you can do is pick them up and set them back on track.”

Ficek had previously sent a message of support to Doherty through NME.COM, and confirmed that the singer returning to rehab would not affect the band’s forthcoming tour plans.

Manchester MEN Arena (November 22)
Newcastle Metro Radio Arena (23)
Brighton Centre (25)
Bournemouth BIC (26)
