Fans snap up 5,000 tickets to see the Babyshambles front-man play solo

Tickets for Pete Doherty’s forthcoming solo show at London’s Royal Albert Hall sold out within 20 minutes of going on sale at 9am (GMT) on Saturday (February 16).

The show, due to take place on April 26, will be the biggest solo show the Babyshambles front-man has ever played.

As well as impromptu solo shows after recent gigs and for private audiences, Pete Doherty recently played a small solo show at London’s Rhythm Factory venue (pictured).

The Shockwaves NME Awards 2008 are coming soon – and it’s time to have your say. Vote now by heading to NME.COM/awardsvote and you could win VIP tickets to the ceremony, which takes place in London on February 28.

Quite curious to see how security manages to keep the fans seated!!! I'll be photographing him again, hopefully. In the meanwhile, Pete from Brixton is on liveon35mm.com

What is wrong with these people. The talentless fuckwit shouldn't even sell out the Albert Hall toilets but due to constant media overload (of which NME are a prime culprit) people follow like braindead sheep.

Hopefully he'll shove all the profit into his veins and disappear from this earth sooner rather than later (but then he'd become a Kurt Conbain type marter).

makes you wonder who still gives enough of a fuck about this clown to pay £30 to see him drone on in a space that he (and the Wombats!) are not worthy to grace.
