HAT'S THE END OF THAT!

BADLY DRAWN BOY has started going out without his hat on for fear of being beaten up, NME.COM can reveal.

He admitted that he now removes the trademark headgear in public when he’s in Manchester, his hometown, because it’s begun to attract too much unwanted attention.

"I sort of learned that [always wearing it was] a daft way to go because something’s happened that people know who I am," said Damon Gough last week in an interview with NME. "The hat increases that awareness so I might as well minimise my chances of being beaten up."

On a happier note, Gough and his girlfriend Claire Hewitt had their second child last week. The baby boy was born on March 13.
