Damon Gough supports Flaming Lips unannounced...

BADLY DRAWN BOY made a special appearance onstage with the Flaming Lips in MANCHESTER last night (January 16).

Fans were treated to a surprise three-song set from the local star, a long-standing friend of Coyne and his band, at the sold out show at Manchester Academy 1.

Badly, aka Damon Gough, took the stage shortly before the [/a], playing three songs including 'The Shining' and 'You Were Right'. He extended the latter, changing lines to "I remember doing nothing on ...the night Joe Strummer died," in tribute to the [a] star, who died last month.
