The Walrus Of Love needs a transplant...

BARRY WHITE SUFFERS KIDNEY FAILURE
Walrus of Love BARRY WHITE is undergoing dialysis after suffering kidney failure.

The soul veteran is now hoping for a kidney transplant, his record company has said.

Only basic details of White's condition have been revealed, with high blood pressure being blamed for his problems.
"Doctors confirm that Barry White has a history of hypertension [high blood pressure], which has led to a decline of kidney function," a statement from Island Def Jam Music Group said.

"He has started a course of maintenance dialysis therapy. Once stabilised, he will be a candidate for a kidney transplant."

In a career spanning 30 years, the 58-year-old heavyweight lothario has sold 100 million albums. He has twice been admitted hospital in recent years suffering from hypertension - once in 1995 and again in 1998.
