Bat For Lashes drafts in string trio for iTunes festival
Natasha Khan dresses as a wolf for theatrical show
Bat For Lashes pulled in a string trio for her iTunes Live Festival '09 show in London tonight (July 19).
The Brighton singer, aka Nastasha Khan, put in a powerful performance at the Camden Roundhouse, against a mystical stage set which was decked out with fairies, ornaments and silver star balloons.
Singing barefooted throughout the whole of her set, which saw her dip into her two albums 'Fur And Gold' and 'Two Suns', Khan arrived onstage donning a wolf catsuit with furry tassles before launching into 'Glass'.
Ex-Ash bassist Charlotte Hatherley also helped out on backing vocals and piano during a number of tracks as did the string trio.
As the theatrical singer launched into 'Bat's Mouth' she asked the crowd: "Can I see some batmasks out there?" before adding: "I can see three, that's good."
Later she strummed a harpischord alone for 'Prescilla' after she quipped: "It's a bit difficult playing this with these hairy arms."
She rounded off her show with recent hit single 'Daniel'
Bat For Lashes played:
'Glass'
'Horse and I'
'Travelling Woman'
'Bat's Mouth'
'Sarah'
'Sleep Alone'
'The Wizard'
'Siren Song'
'Trophy'
'What's A Girl To Do'
'Pearl's Dream'
'Prescilla'
'Good Love'
'Two Planets'
'Daniel'
Earlier Polly Scattergood played a host of tracks from her recent self-titled debut including 'Please Don't Touch' and forthcoming single 'Bunny Club'.
