Love And Rockets to play Coachella warm-up shows

Love And Rockets are set to play two Coachella warm-up shows in Southern California this week.

The veteran rockers will perform full sets at the Glass House in Pomona tomorrow night (April 22) and at Canes in San Diego on Thursday (April 24) to gear up for their headlining slot at the Coachella Festival on Sunday (April 27).

These will be the first full sets the band has played since 1999. "The time feels right for this band again," founding member David J told NME.COM.

"We'll be focusing on the music from our first four albums, the more guitar-based stuff," he added.

Former Bauhaus members David J, Daniel Ash and Kevin Haskins formed Love And Rockets in 1984. All three original members will perform at the upcoming gigs this month, as well as at Lollapalooza on August 3.

Although the band has no concrete plans to record a new album, David J said some new material might be in the cards.

"Producers have been calling up offering us free studio time, so it's a possibility," he said. "At the moment we're just concentrating on making the gigs as hot as possible."

The tour dates are:

Pomona, CA Glass House (April 22)
San Diego, CA Canes (24)
Indio, CA Coachella Festival (27)
Chicago, IL Lollapalooza (August 3)
