Beady Eye's Liam Gallagher has said the recently-unveiled Michael Jackson statue in London is "ridiculous".

The controversial monument was unveiled by Fulham FC chairman Mohamed Al Fayed earlier this month (April 3) at the club's Craven Cottage stadium.

While giving his predictions for this weekend's Premier League scores on BBC Football Focus, Gallagher was asked for his opinion on the statue.

"It's a bit silly isn't it?" he commented. "It could be worse, it could be Justin Bieber - but then it wouldn’t be that high would it?" the former Oasis man commented.

The statue has also faced criticism from Fulham supporters, who claimed it makes their team a laughing stock.

Al Fayed told "stupid" fans to "go to hell" if they didn't appreciate his "gift".
