Beady Eye frontman Liam Gallagher has layed into Mumford and Sons, as he believes they lack rock star quality.

Speaking to Shortlist, the singer also criticised his brother Noel, comparing him to X Factor judge Louis Walsh.

Asked what he thought of Mumford and Sons, Gallagher replied: "They look like fucking Amish people. You know, them ones with the big sideys that don't use electricity? Growing their own food and putting barns up. I need music to be a bit more sexy and played by people who look a bit fucking dangerous."

He also said of Noel: "Our kid looks more like Louis Walsh these days."

Beady Eye are currently playing their first ever US tour, which saw Gallagher miss his brother Noel's wedding to Sara MacDonald on Saturday (June 18).

They return to the UK at the end of August to play Reading And Leeds Festivals.
