Beady Eye are due to perform on The Voice this weekend.

The Liam Gallagher fronted band will play their current single 'Second Bite of the Apple' during the semi-final of the BBC talent show on June 15 at 7pm [BST].

Beady Eye and Black Sabbath are battling it out for the Number One spot on this week's Official UK Album Chart with Black Sabbath's '13' narrowly ahead at the midweek stage. Beady Eye are right behind the reunited Sabbath with their new album 'BE' landing at Number Two in the midweek update. At the time of writing, the Official Charts Company reports that there are just 4,500 sales between the two albums.

'13' is the first Black Sabbath studio album to feature Ozzy Osbourne on vocals since 'Never Say Die!' in 1978. Should the metal band hold on to the top spot, it will be their first UK Number One album since 'Paranoid' in 1970.

Beady Eye launched their second album 'BE' with an intimate record store show in London earlier this week. They performed at the Rough Trade East store in front of around 150 lucky fans who had queued for wristbands, playing highlights from the Dave Sitek-produced record, as well as a cover of The Beatles' 'Cry Baby Cry'.

Beady Eye will play Manchester Ritz on June 19 before heading to London for a show at Camden Centre on June 20. The short stint will come to a close in Glasgow at the ABC on June 22. The band have also lined up summer festival slots at V Festival, Benicassim and T In The Park.
