Liza Ghorbani, the woman who claims Beady Eye frontman Liam Gallagher fathered a child with her, is reportedly chasing full custody of the child.

The New York Post previously claimed that Ghorbani, a journalist for publications including Elle and The Wall Street Journal, had a fling with the singer after she interviewed him for the New York Times in 2010 and subsequently gave birth to a daughter, Gemma, in January of this year. Now the same publication reports that Ghorbani is planning to file for sole custody of the child and only allow Gallagher access to her via supervised visits.

A source told the New York Post's Page Six: "Ghorbani is seeking sole custody of Gemma and asking the court to impose supervised visitation upon Gallagher – if he ever decides to meet and visit his daughter. Her concern is that he still lives the life of a rock star, and she wouldn’t want to leave the child in his care."

The paper previously reported that DNA tests confirmed that Liam is the father of Gemma. The former Oasis frontman was living with wife Nicole Appleton, the mother of his 12-year-old son Gene, when news of Ghorbani's claims were revealed earlier this year. The couple have subsequently split. Ghorbani previously filed a £2 million lawsuit against the star for child support.

Gallagher is reportedly suing The New York Post for libel after they alleged that he impregnated Ghorbani after cheating on his wife. He already has three children – sons Gene and 13-year-old Lennon from his previous marriage to actress Patsy Kensit. He also has a daughter, 15-year-old Molly, with Lisa Moorish.

Beady Eye are due to tour the UK later this year. They will play eight dates, kicking off in Glasgow on November 10 and ending on November 21 with a show at London's Hammersmith Apollo. In between, there will be stops in Leeds, Newcastle, Wolverhampton, Portsmouth and two Manchester dates at the Academy on November 15 and 16.

Beady Eye will play:

Glasgow Barrowlands (November 10)
Leeds O2 Academy (12)
Newcastle 02 Academy (13)
Manchester Academy (15/16)
Wolverhampton Civic Hall (18)
Portsmouth Guildhall (19)
London Hammersmith Apollo (21)
