Beady Eye perform 'Champagne Supernova' live in Japan – watch

Liam Gallagher and band play the Oasis classic for the first time

Beady Eye performed the Oasis classic 'Champagne Supernova' for the first time at a gig in Japan last night (March 25).

The band are currently touring in the Asian country and performed live at the Yokohama Arena in Yokohama, where they played the '(What's The Story) Morning Glory?' album track for the first time since Liam Gallagher started the band after the demise of Oasis.

Beady Eye's set in Japan consisted of material from both of their albums, as well as Oasis' 'Live Forever' and 'Gimme Shelter' by The Rolling Stones.

Recently, Liam Gallagher urged Oasis fans not to buy the forthcoming reissue of the band's debut album 'Definitely Maybe'. Writing on Twitter, he said: "HOW CAN YOU REMASTER SOMETHING THATS ALREADY BEING MASTERED.DONT BUY INTO IT.LET IT BE LG X"

It was announced on last month (February 26) that the album would be reissued to mark its 20th anniversary in May, and will include rare and unreleased recordings. The reissue is the first in the new Chasing The Sun series from Big Brother Recordings, with follow-up albums '(What's The Story) Morning Glory?' and 'Be Here Now' to be reissued later in the year.
