The first album since 2004 is coming

Beastie Boys plan summer release for album

Beastie Boys are planning to release their new album this summer.

The band are putting the finishing touches to the follow up to 2004’s ’To the 5 Boroughs’ .

The band will be touring Europe this summer, with their jaunt including a headline slot at Bestival in September.

Member Adam Yauch said of the album: “Hopefully that’ll be out this summer, too.”

According to Billboard, the band will play:

Washington Sasquatch Festival (May 27)
Lisbon Alive! Festival (June 10)
Efes Pilsen One Love Festival Istanbul (17)
Scheessel Hurricane Festival (22)
Neuhasen Southside Festival (24)
Paris Le Zenith (26)
Werchter Rock Werchter Festival (28)
Poland Heineken Festival (30)
