Fred Marsden loses his battle against cancer
drummer Fred Marsden has died after a battle with cancer.
The 66-year-old passed away in Southport last weekend.
Marsden is survived by his wife Margaret and two children.
His funeral is being held today (December 15) at Our Lady's Church in Formby, Merseyside, reports BBC NEWS.
Gerry And The Pacemakers shared The Beatles' manager Brian Epstein and were best known for the likes of 'Ferry 'Cross The Mersey' and 'You'll Never Walk Alone'.
