Beck performed 'Blue Moon' with Father John Misty on Saturday Night Live last night (March 1).

It was the singer's first appearance on the popular US TV show in eight years, and comes in support of his new album 'Morning Phase'. Father John Misty, aka J.Tillman, also joined Beck for the second song of the evening, 'Wave'. You can watch both performances by scrolling down the page and clicking 'play'.

Meanwhile, Beck is heading for his first ever Number One on the Official Albums Chart with his new album, 'Morning Phase'.

Official Chart Company data reveals that the US singer-songwriter's latest album is currently ahead of Bastille's 'Bad Blood' at Number Two. Beck has had six Top 40 albums in the UK – including a Top 10 with 2008's Modern Guilt (9)– but has never managed to score a Number One before. Check back on NME.com at 7pm tonight to find out if Beck has been able to hold on to the Official Albums Chart top spot.
