The star performs unannounced at the Union Chapel...

BECK was given a standing ovation for his cover of NELLY's 'HOT IN HERRE' at a secret gig in LONDON last night (April 28).

Beck, who is currently in Europe playing a number of solo acoustic shows in support of his current album 'Sea Change', played an unannounced set to an invited audience at the London Union Chapel. The gig was in addition to his show last weekend (April 26) at the London Royal Albert Hall .

Despite focusing mainly on acoustic versions of tracks from 'Sea Change', Beck also found time to cover Justin Timberlake's 'Cry Me A River', and during an encore of 'Lord Only Knows', he mixed in his own cover of the Nelly hit, playing piano, mouth organ and a drum machine.

The show can be seen on BBC4 on May 30 at 9pm.

Beck continues his acoustic tour at the Edinburgh Usher Hall this evening (April 29) and the Dublin Ambassador on May 1-2.

The star will also be performing at Brixton Academy on Thursday August 21, immediately before his appearances at the Carling Weekend: Reading And Leeds on the weekend of August 22 - 24.
