He works with French actress in LA

Beck has revealed that he is working with actress Charlotte Gainsbourg on her forthcoming album.

Beck said that he has been collaborating with the French star in Los Angeles and in her native France on the follow-up to 2006's '5:55'.

"I was supposed to work on her last album but I couldn't get over there," Beck said on KCRW's Morning Becomes Eclectic. "Now I'm working on her follow-up record."

Beck's father, David Campbell, was responsible for the string arrangements on '5:55'. Gainsbourg also collaborated with Jarvis Cocker, Air and The Divine Comedy on the album.

The renowned actress, who is the daughter of legendary French artist Serge Gainsbourg, starred in the Bob Dylan biopic 'I'm Not There' as well as '21 Grams'.

This is terrible news. Beck is a ghastly soul-less charlatan past his sell-by date... Charlottes dad would be most aggrieved. Is he really the best collaborator she could find?

oh dear lordkitty...u really are a pudding....Beck just approaches music in a different way to most artists,so to call him soul-less and past his sell by date is riddiculous...so u also know the Gainsbourgs then as u use first names terms....oh well each to his own eh....Beck will continue to carry on his art i'm sure...in his own clever and soulful manner...

Lordkitty - what a complete dick you are! To talk in a negative manner about Beck is stupid. He is one of the most relevant artists of our time and every album he has done is quality. To call him soul-less and past his sell by date is a sign taht you know fuck all about music. Keep your worthless opinion to yourself next time. Twat.
