Beirut have announced several dates of a world tour that kicks off this week.

Zach Condon and his eight-piece band will begin the first leg of their tour in Sydney, Australia on March 5 and play several dates in Australia and New Zealand in March.

The band will then head to North America in May for a series of West Coast dates in Portland, San Francisco and Los Angeles, as well as a stop at Washington's Sasquatch! Festival on May 24.

This summer they'll play several European dates in France, Germany and Spain.

Beirut are supporting their second studio album 'The Flying Club Cup', which came out in October.
