Belle & Sebastian pull T In The Park slot

Belle & Sebastian have pulled out of this year’s T In The Park.

The Scottish band were due to make their first appearance at the bash on July 8, but have pulled out due to “unforeseen travel difficulties”, according to the festival’s official website.

As previously reported on NME.COM, Red Hot Chili Peppers and The Who are to headline the 2006 event.

New names joining the bill include Editors, Eels and Clap Your Hands Say Yeah.

So far the following bands have been confirmed for this year’s sold-out bash:

The event takes place at Balado, near Kinross between July 8-9.
