MURDOCH'S ELECTILE DYSFUNCTION

Stuart Murdoch fails to be elected as 118th Rector of Glasgow University...

BELLE AND SEBASTIAN frontman STUART MURDOCH was unsuccessful in his campaign to become the 118th Rector of GLASGOW UNIVERSITY.

The singer, who came third with 347 votes, was beaten to the post by Greg Hemphill, comedian and star of BBC comedy series 'Chewin The Fat', who got 1,127 votes.
In second place was author and artist Alasdair Gray, with 1,026 votes, while last in the poll was comedian Karen Dunbar, who got 135 votes.
The elections saw 2,204 students vote, representing an 11 per cent turn-out.
