Belle & Sebastian cover 'Don't Stop Believing' at children's hospital - watch

The Scottish group performed for the Songs For Kids Foundation

Indie veterans Belle & Sebastian are currently on a temporary hiatus with no immediate plans to record a new studio album. However, on November 17 2008 they will release a 'BBC Sessions album', which will feature songs from the period of 1996-2001 (including the last recordings featuring Isobel Campbell before she left the band).
Belle & Sebastian have covered Journey's 'Don't Stop Believing' at a children's hospital in America.

The Scottish group joined the Songs For Kids Foundation at the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta paediatric hospital to perform the track to help raise spirits of children on the wards. You can watch a short clip of their performance at the bottom of the page, via Consequence Of Sound.

The charity takes musicians to hospitals around America and has been aiming to "enrich the lives of children suffering from illness or hardship" since it began in 2007. Janelle Monae and fun. are amongst those artists who have previously worked with the group.

It was recently confirmed that Belle & Sebastian are set to provide the music for a new TV show starring Matthew Perry. In the show, the actor plays a character who finds fame after throwing his dog. The programme is called The Dog Thrower and will be a one-off episode aired as part of the Playhouse Presents... series on Sky Arts in May, reports Herald Scotland. Other stars set to appear in episodes during the series include Ben Wishaw, Billie Piper and model Cara Delevingne.
