Two new songs Best Coast are set to release for Record Store Day this year will feature singer Bethany Cosentino's father on drums, it has been confirmed.

Ricky Cosentino plays drums on tracks ‘Fear of My Identity’ and ‘Who Have I Become’, which will be released as a double A-Side single on April 20. Scroll down to listen to a live version of the band's brand new song, 'Fear Of My Identity' now. Tweeting about her Dad, Cosentino recently wrote: "My Dad, Ricky Cosentino played drums on the record store day 7" !!! Was so fun to have him on these songs."

Best Coast – the Los Angeles based duo made up of Bethany Cosentino and regular drummer Bobb Bruno – released their second album, 'The Only Place', last year. It followed 2010's 'Crazy For You'.

Jack White was recently named the official ambassador for Record Store Day 2013.

This year's Record Store Day takes place on April 20. Speaking about his role as ambassador, White said in a statement: "We need to reeducate ourselves about human interaction and the difference between downloading a track on a computer and talking to other people in person and getting turned onto music that you can hold in your hands and share with others."

Fellow US band Twin Shadow recently announced that frontman George Lewis Jr's father would be the support act on their upcoming tour of America. He will read short stories before his son's band go onstage each evening.
