Best Coast unveil new song 'This Lonely Morning' - listen

It's the second taster for the band's forthcoming mini-album 'Fade Away', due out October 21

Best Coast have shared a new song called 'This Lonely Morning'. Listen above.

'This Lonely Morning' is the second track to be unveiled from the band's forthcoming mini-album 'Fade Away' following last month's 'I Don't Know How'.

The mini-album will be the first release on Best Coast frontwoman Bethany Cosentino's own Jewel City label, and is a primer for the band's third album. Best Coast are due to start recording the follow-up to 2012's second LP 'The Only Place' this November ahead of a spring 2014 release.

Speaking about the songs on 'Fade Away', Cosentino says: "Everything in this band has worked out so organically that sometimes it scares me that something bad is going to happen. I don't even understand why this is happening. I made some songs, I put them up on the internet, and here I am now. I feel like the luckiest person in the world. If I wasn't doing this, I don't know what I would be doing."

Ricky Cosentino, Bethany Cosentino's father, plays drums on the tracks 'Fear of My Identity' and 'Who Have I Become' which were first released as a double A-side single in April. Tweeting about her father at the time, Cosentino wrote: "My Dad, Ricky Cosentino played drums on the record store day 7" !!! Was so fun to have him on these songs."

The 'Fade Away' tracklist is as follows:

'This Lonely Morning'
'I Wanna Know'
'Who Have I Become?'
'Fear Of My Identity'
'Fade Away'
'Baby I'm Crying'
'I Don't Know How'
