EVEN BETA UNPLUGGED

A powercut at their Chicago gig means the band is forced to play a completely acoustic set...

THE BETA BAND were forced to play a show in CHICAGO without any amps after a power cut.

The band were due to play the Chicago Vic Theatre (April 18) as part of a US tour. However, just as the band started to perform a power cut meant that the band were forced to play the show completely unplugged.

According to fans, the band played acoustic versions of 'Quiet' and 'Human Being' from their second album 'Hot Shots II', as well as their classic 'Dry The Rain', with the stage lit by candlelight. The band also performed a lengthy instrumental jam.

The group hope to return to Chicago to perform a full electric set in the near future.
