MCGEE RAPS UP DEAL

Plus read the full review of the first NME Premier Shows...

While his ex-charges the Gallaghers are battling it out with The Beta Band over whether they've nicked a chunk of the Betas' 'Dry The Rain' for the new Oasis single 'Go Let It Out', Alan McGee has signed The Beta Band's guest rapper, Sean Revron, to his new Poptones label.

McGee signed the rapper when he arrived in London to guest with The Beta Band at the opening night of the NME Premier Shows at the London Astoria yesterday (Tuesday, January 25).

The rapper, who had previously appeared with The Beta Band when they met in New York at the end of last year, guested with the band on a couple of numbers at the sold-out Astoria show during a set which saw the Betas debut a song currently entitled 'That New One', a brand new song, as part of the three song encore.

Also on the bill were Sigor Ros, Mo-Ho-Bish-O-Pi and Mudlarks.
