Beyoncé nominated for two Golden Globes

The singer is up for best song and best actress

Beyoncé Knowles has been nominated for two Golden Globe Awards for her role in the movie Dreamgirls.

The film is loosely based on the story of Diana Ross and The Supremes, and is set for a Christmas Day release in the US.

Beyoncé plays the part of the Ross' character in the movie, and has been nominated in the Best Actress category. She also co-wrote the song ‘Listen’ from the movie, which is competing in the Best Song category.

The ceremony is due to take place on January 15 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles.
