Beyonce and Shakira take chart top spot

Arctic Monkeys miss out

Beyonce and Shakira have topped the UK singles chart - keeping the Arctic Monkeys return 'Brianstorm' at number two.

Last week's number one, Timbaland's 'Give It To Me, falls to three, while Avril Lavigne's single 'Girlfriend' is at four and Mark Ronson's 'Stop Me' completes the singles top five.

The / order is echoed on the album chart where Lavigne's 'The Best Damn Thing' enters at one and Ronson's 'Version' debuts at two.

The only other new entry on the album chart comes at six from veterans Nine Inch Nails with 'Year Zero'.

Back on the single chart, there is a new entry on the top 10 from The Enemy who enter at eight with 'Away From Here' and Ash also return strong at 16 with 'You Can't Have It All'.
