Beyonce set to re-release album minus 'illegal' song

'B’Day' to appear without Des’ree track

Beyonce is set to re-release ’B’Day' - The Deluxe Edition' without the track she was sued over.

As previously reported singer Des’ree sued Beyonce earlier this month for claiming that the singer never obtained proper clearance to cover her song ’I’m Kissing You’.

The suit alleged that Beyonce and her record company Sony BMG initially tried to work out a deal to use the song but when Des’ree disallowed them to change the title or make a video for the song, they ignored her terms and recorded the song under a different name and a video without permission.

A preliminary injunction hearing has been set for May 4. No date for the reissue has been announced, reports SOHH.
