Beyonce has visited two fans in hospital after they were injured by pyrotechnics at one of her concerts.

The accidents happened shortly after her show started in Missouri in US on Sunday (July 8), when fireworks meant for the stage spilled into the audience.

Two unnamed concert goers were taken to hospital, but their injuries were said to be minor, reports BBC News.

Head nurse Darryl Williams said Beyonce was “just very concerned. It was unannounced and we kept it very low-key so that she could spend time with them”.

On her statement on beyonce.com, the singer said that she found the incident - footage of which has appeared on several video sharing websites - “very unfortunate”.

She wrote: “I visited the two fans who were injured in hospital right after the show and I am grateful that they will both be alright.

“My life and career have been blessed with the support of the best fans in the world. Their safety and well-being will always be a top priority and one of my biggest concerns.”
