Judges hear appeal in Beyonce case
Woman alleges the pop star stole her lyrics
A panel of US Federal Court judges today (October 3) heard the appeal of a Minnesota woman who is alleging that used her lyrics in the hit song 'Baby Boy'.
Jennifer Armour's lawyer filed a copyright infringement suit against last year, alleging that the pop star took the lyrics from Armour's song 'Got a Little Bit of Love for You'.
Armour's attorney argued that an expert panel determined that the two songs were "substantially similar". The judge ruled in 's favour, stating that the two songs were "substantially dissimilar."
Now Armour is appealing the decision at a three-day hearing in the New Orleans-based 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, reports the Associated Press. The panel has not yet given a ruling.
