Beyonce to play Etta James in movie

And she'll produce the flick about Chess Records

Beyonce is set to play legendary singer Etta James in a movie about record label Chess Records.

‘Cadillac Records’ will focus on the Chicago-based label and its founder Leonard Chess, as well as the label’s artists including Muddy Waters, Howlin’ Wolf and Chuck Berry.

Academy Award winner Adrien Brody will play Chess, and Beyonce will record four songs for the soundtrack as well as executive produce the project.

According to Billboard, she will also donate a portion of her fees for the film to recovering addicts through her family's charity, the Survivor Foundation.

Beyonce recently lost out Record of the Year to Amy Winehouse at last week’s Grammy Awards.
