Beyonce has announced that she and her father Matthew Knowles will no longer work together professionally.

The singer has been managed by her father from the formation of Destiny's Child when she was 10 years old right through to earlier this month.

No reason has been given for the separation. Both have issued statements saying that the split is not acrimonious, reports Billboard.

Beyonce said in her statement: "I am grateful for everything he has taught me. I grew up watching both he and my mother manage and own their own businesses. They were hardworking entrepreneurs and I will continue to follow in their footsteps."

Matthew Knowles echoed his daughter's words, saying: "I love my daughter and am very proud of who she is and all that she has achieved. I look forward to her continued great success."

He added: "Business is business and family is family."

Beyonce has not said who her new management will be yet.

She is the final former member of Destiny's Child to dispense with Matthew Knowles as manager. Her bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams did so in 2009 and 2010 respectively.
