Beyonce has announced three comeback gigs at a casino resort in Atlantic City, USA in May.

The singer will play the New Jersey state city during the opening celebrations of a new purpose-built entertainment resort on May 25, 26 and 27 - just month's after the birth of her daughter, Blue Ivy Carter.

Revel Resorts launch their new $2.4billion casino complex with the Beyonce concerts over the US Memorial Day weekend. It will be the first gigs by Beyonce since August 2011, when she played 4 nights at New York's Roseland Ballroom.

The series of concerts were released on DVD, entitled 'Live At Roseland', and included footage of the full concert as well as back-stage documentary segments.

Earlier this month it was revealed that Beyonce had signed up to star in One Hit Wonders, a new film from Glee creator Ryan Murphy.

The musical, which also stars Cameron Diaz, Gwyneth Paltrow and Reese Witherspoon as washed-up singers on the come back trail, has yet to be written but Beyonce has been signed up to play a role.

Tickets for Beyonce's comeback show go on sale at 10am (EDT) on April 6 from Ticketmaster
