Beyonce has joined social networking site Tumblr and posted a host of previously private family shots.

Blogging at Beyonce.tumblr.com, the pop singer introduces the new page by writing: "I am. This is my life, today, over the years - through my eyes. My family, my travels, my love. This is where I share with you. This will continue to grow as I do. Love Beyonce."

On the new blog she has posted various pictures featuring her and her younger sister and fellow singer Solange as well as shots with her husband Jay-Z and actress Gwyneth Paltrow. There are also snaps of Beyonce in a Spiderman outfit, smoking a cigar and being buried in sand on a beach.

Even though she has over 3,500,000 followers, Beyonce also tweeted for the first ever time today (April 5), announcing her brand new website. She wrote:

Beyonce makes her live return with three comeback gigs at a casino resort in Atlantic City, USA in May. She will play the New Jersey city during the opening celebrations of a new purpose-built entertainment resort on May 25, 26 and 27 - just months after the birth of her daughter, Blue Ivy Carter.

The Revel Resorts shows will be the first gigs by Beyonce since August 2011, when she played four nights at New York's Roseland Ballroom. Tickets for Beyonce's comeback shows go on sale tomorrow (April 6) at 10am (EDT) at Ticketmaster.
