Beyonce and Jay Z have topped a poll of the top-earning couples of the last year, earning $95 million (£59 million) between them from June 2012 to June 2013.

According to Forbes, a large portion of the pair's revenue has come from both artists' heavy touring schedule throughout the year.

Jay-Z's Watch The Throne tour, which he performed alongside Kanye West, earned the star $1.4 million (£900,000) per night, while this summer's Legends of the Summer dates with Justin Timberlake also made a considerable contribution. Beyoncé, meanwhile, pulled in $2 million (£1.25 million) per date on her own Mrs Carter tour.

The pair also are involved in a number of endorsements – from Beyoncé’s partnership with Pepsi to Jay-Z's deal with Samsung, which saw the rapper receive a multi-million dollar fee in return for Samsung distributing downloads of his recent album 'Magna Carta Holy Grail' for free to contract-holders.

Second on the list were supermodel Gisele Bundchen and American football player Tom Brady, while Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie came in third. 'Watch The Throne' partner Kanye West, meanwhile, ranked fifth with his partner Kim Kardashian.

Beyoncé, meanwhile, was recently attacked by a fan during a show in Sao Paulo. During a performance at the Morumbi Stadium on September 15, a shirtless man attempted to pull the singer into the crowd during her rendition of 'Irreplaceable' but was stopped by security immediately. In that portion of the set, Beyoncé moves closer to the crowd, singing from a smaller 'Bey Stage', which allowed the fan to be able to reach her.

Earlier in the tour, the singer also faced danger when her hair became caught in the blades of a fan during 'Halo'. The singer continued the performance, nonetheless, and finished her Montreal set without further disruption.
