Beyonce will perform at tonight's Brit Awards, host James Corden has revealed.

The singer will be appearing live and playing a song she has never played live before, said Corden this morning on BBC Radio 2. The ceremony takes place at London's O2 Arena.

"Beyoncé is performing tonight," he told Zoe Ball. "She's performing a track she has never ever performed live before. Ever."

Other artists confirmed to appear at the Brit Awards 2014 include Pharrell, Arctic Monkeys, Katy Perry, Ellie Goulding, Bruno Mars, Bastille and Rudimental as well as Disclosure, who will be playing with Lorde. Prince will also be in attendance, to present an award.

Arctic Monkeys, David Bowie and Ellie Goulding are favourites to win at tonight's Brit Awards. According to odds from William Hill, Arctic Monkeys are favourites to score British Group and British Album for last year's 'AM', with David Bowie favourite to win British Male Solo Artist and Ellie Goulding ahead of the pack when it comes to the British Female Solo Artist award.

David Bowie will compete with Jake Bugg and James Blake for British Male Solo Artist, whilst Haim have been nominated for the International Group award and are up against Kings Of Leon, Daft Punk and Arcade Fire in the category. Disclosure and Bastille have received the most nominations, with four apiece. Click here for a full list of nominations. The event will be hosted by James Corden. Philip Treacy, the Irish-born, London-based hat maker and designer, has designed this year's Brit Award statue.
