Biffy Clyro have unveiled a video trailer for their forthcoming studio album, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click to watch it.

The trailer, which is only 13 seconds in length, features a heavy guitar riff being played over clips of the band working in the studio and during previous live shows. It reveals no name or release date, simply saying "Coming Soon" at its climax.

Biffy Clyro recently revealed that they have changed the title of their forthcoming of their sixth studio album.

The trio had previously said that their new album would be called 'The Land At The End Of Our Toes' and 'The Sand At The Core Of Our Bones', but NME has learned that this will no longer be the case. The lines actually come from the chorus of 'Sounds Like Balloons', one of four new tracks they debuted earlier this month.

The album is still set to be a double release and is likely to come out later this year. It is the follow-up to their 2009 effort 'Only Revolutions' and is being produced by Garth Richardson.

Speaking to NME about their new album, singer Simon Neil said: "We don't ever want to make a boring rock record. We're fans of big tunes, but it wouldn't really be Biffy if it didn't have the quirkiness and the weirdness."

You can watch the video for the band's previous single 'The Captain' by scrolling down to the bottom of the page and clicking.
