Biffy Clyro's Simon Neil has revealed that during his band's American tour with Foo Fighters, he was often mistaken for Dave Grohl. Biffy Clyro served as the support band for a five-date string of shows in May.
When asked about his most embarrassing moment of 2011, Neil told NME:
We're not very popular in America - the amount of times I'd be walking into the gig and it's like, 'Dave! Dave!' So I'm gonna cut my hair and my beard pretty soon, so that doesn't happen again. I don't have the winning smile though.

Simon Neil also revealed that his New Year's resolution involves slowing down his "voyage of discovery." He said: "I think I might have explored the inside of my brain as much as I should for the time being, so next year I'll live a slightly less chemical life."
