Biffy Clyro to headline Reading and Leeds Festivals 2013
Trio will make their Main Stage debut at the August bash
Biffy Clyro have been announced as the next headliners of Reading and Leeds Festivals 2013.
The Scottish Trio – whose new album 'Opposites' is currently at Number One in the UK Official Album Chart, join Eminem at the top of the bill on the Main Stage and Alt J, who will headline the NME/Radio 1 Stage.
Speaking about their first ever Reading and Leeds headline slot, Biffy frontman Simon Neil tells NME in this week's magazine, which will be on newsstands from Wednesday (February 6) or available digitally: "Reading always felt like such an exotic festival. Even though it’s been around since the '70s, it just really seemed to come alive in the '90s. I think that’s when it became the cultural moment that it is now, and the fixture that it is in the calendar…It’s just fucking bizarre. I still can’t get my head round it."
Deftones, Sub Focus and Wiley's grime collective Boy Better Know are also on the 2013 line-up, with Deftones bringing their latest studio album 'Yo Noi Kan' to the festival's Main Stage, while Sub Focus will headline the BBC Radio 1 Dance Stage. Boy Better Know will headline the new BBC Radio 1 Xtra Stage.
