Plus one-off talk and performance of Woody Guthrie's songs...

BRAGG PLAYS GUTHRIE

Billy Bragg will be playing live songs from last years critically acclaimed album 'Mermaid Avenue' (in which Billy Bragg wrote music for songless Woody Guthrie lyrics) and his new video 'The Man In The Sand' - a documentary charting Billy Bragg's research into Woody Guthrie.

The perfomance is free and people can turn up on the day. He is expected to play at the Virgin Megastore in Oxford Street for around half an hour.

He is also due to appear as part of a festival of songs and events to be held at Cecil Sharpe House in North London on May 5th. Billy Bragg - The Woody Project takes place at 8pm and tickets cost ':7 and '5 concessions.

He will be talking about and singing material he was asked by Woody Guthrie's daughter to resurrect.
