Billy Idol announces LA residency
Singer will take over the Sunset Strip this month
Billy Idol has announced that he will wrap up his world tour with a three-night residency at the House of Blues in Los Angeles.
The singer will take over the Sunset Strip venue on September 16, 17 and 19 for the events, which are being billed as 'House Of Billy'.
Adorning the venue will be images created by renowned artist Shephard Fairey, who designed the iconic Barack Obama 'Hope' poster as well as the cover of Idol's greatest hits album 'The Very Best Of Billy Idol: Idolize Yourself' released earlier this year.
"My own house is way too orderly, so we decided to go down to the Strip and make a mess," said Idol in a statement.
Idol will perform with guitarist Steve Stevens, drummer and songwriting collaborator Brian Tichy and keyboardist Derek Sherinian. The setlist will include songs from his decades-long career as well as two new tracks, 'John Wayne' and 'New Future Weapon'.
