Bjork, Sufjan Stevens and Brian Wilson set for Sydney festival
Joanna Newsom also features at the cultural bash
Bjork, Sufjan Stevens and Battles are some of over 200 artists confirmed to perform at the Sydney Festival in Australia next January.
Brian Wilson will also perform on three nights at the festival, which is held annually to celebrate music, dance, theatre and culture at various indoor and outdoor venues across the city.
The ex-Beach Boy will perform his first two nights at the State Theatre on January 7 and 8 in support of his latest offering ‘That Lucky Old Sun (A Narrative)’, while on January 9 Wilson will perform his 1966 Beach Boys classic ‘Pet Sounds’.
Bonde Do Role, Low, De La Soul and Joanna Newsom are also set to play, with Newsom performing her latest release ‘Ys’ in conjunction with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra at Sydney Opera House Concert Hall (January 25, 26).
The festival will take place from January 5 - 26, with more details available from Sydneyfestival.org.au.
