Bjork forced to cancel Big Day Out appearance
The star has swollen vocal chords
Björk has been forced to cancel her appearance at the Sydney leg of the Big Day Out festival today (January 25) due to “swelling vocal chords”.
According to a statement released through the Big Day Out organisers, the singer cancelled her performance on doctors orders.
"Doctors have advised Björk to rest due to swelling
of the vocal chords," they explained. “Björk and the producers of Big Day Out hope for a swift recovery in anticipation of a continued Australian Tour."
Björk played a side-show in anticipation of her Big
Day Out appearance on the steps of the Sydney Opera
House on Wednesday night (January 23), as part of the
Sydney Festival.
